ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD 2004 – 2005
MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S DESK…
The new fiscal year 2004 – 05 emerges with a background misery of tsunami that has devastated many lives in coastal areas of South Asian countries, let new scientific innovations control this kind of natural calamities and let the loggerheads among humankind be washed off, this could be achieved with the combined and concerted efforts of protagonists.
In Sankarankoil region Vidiyel Trust has successfully completed and launching into third year. With limited funds, Vidiyel Trust with the help of
Sankarankoil staff had exerted ample work in mobilising and organising deserved backward families through self-help groups. If the fund flow is high the work with poor community for their development would reach its summit but till now we are left like a fish out of water. Further, in the fiscal year 20004 – 05 two NCLP schools one at Mela Alagunachiapuram and an another at Kuruvikulam (Attipatti) were sanctioned and they are running effectively for educating the child labourers through non-formal educational system.
Vidiyel Trust had experienced knowledge in having a pragmatic approach for bringing accusative, maintenance and equalitarism development model in Sankarankoil region. We hope to promote an innovative development model in the fiscal year 2004 – 05 to empowering the rural masses in Sankarankoil domain in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, India.
